Complex Trauma & PTSD Treatment

Trauma Isn't Stored in Stories. It's Stored in the Nervous System.

That's why talking about it doesn't resolve it. Your system learned to protect you through hypervigilance, shutdown, dissociation, or chronic activation, and those responses persist long after the threat is gone. They aren't failures. They're adaptations that haven't been updated.

Our approach doesn't ask you to relive trauma before your system has the capacity to process it. We build somatic resilience first, so resolution becomes possible without retraumatization.

Why Previous Treatment Hasn't Worked

Most trauma treatment asks you to process what happened: through narrative exposure, cognitive reprocessing, or structured retelling. But for complex trauma, this approach often destabilizes rather than heals. The nervous system floods. Dissociation increases. Symptoms worsen.

EMDR and CPT can be effective tools, but not when deployed before the nervous system has the capacity to integrate what surfaces. Standard talk therapy retraumatizes when it demands narrative coherence from a system still in survival mode. This is why so many people cycle through therapists and modalities without resolution.

Specialized Treatment for Complex Trauma & PTSD

Complex PTSD (C-PTSD)

Repeated or prolonged trauma, often relational, creates patterns that go far beyond flashbacks. Chronic shame, emotional dysregulation, identity disruption, and relational difficulty are system-level adaptations we treat at the root.

Developmental Trauma

When the nervous system is shaped by early adversity, including neglect, inconsistency, or misattunement, it builds a foundation organized around threat. We don't just process memories. We restructure the developmental patterns that were laid down before language.

Relational & Attachment Trauma

Trauma that occurs within relationships, including betrayal, enmeshment, and emotional abuse, creates systems that simultaneously crave and fear connection. We work at the attachment level, building secure internal structures without requiring family confrontation.

Single-Event PTSD

Acute trauma from a specific event, such as an accident, assault, or loss, can lock the nervous system in a threat response that persists long after safety returns. Somatic resolution completes the survival cycle the body never finished.

Dissociation & Fragmentation

Dissociation is the nervous system's most sophisticated protective strategy. We don't force integration prematurely. We build the internal safety and capacity that allows fragmented parts to reconnect at their own pace.

Co-Occurring Conditions

Trauma rarely presents alone. Anxiety, depression, substance use, eating disorders, and somatic symptoms are often downstream expressions of unresolved trauma, treated simultaneously within one coordinated ecosystem.

The Clinical Architecture

Four Phases of Trauma Resolution

Our four-phase systems model builds nervous system capacity before asking the system to process what happened, so trauma resolution becomes structural, not retraumatizing.

01

Capacity & Stabilization

Before any trauma processing begins, we stabilize the nervous system. Breath training builds autonomic resilience. Nutritional support reduces the biological chaos that amplifies trauma responses. Sleep architecture is addressed. This is where standard trauma therapy fails: it skips straight to processing before the system can handle what surfaces.

02

Awareness & Interoception

Trauma distorts internal perception. The body confuses safety with threat, emotion with emergency. This phase restores accurate interoception so you can track your internal states without being hijacked by them. Somatic Experiencing principles teach your system the difference between past danger and present safety.

03

Psychological & Developmental Resolution

With a stabilized nervous system and restored internal awareness, we address what created the trauma response: developmental patterns, attachment wounds, shame structures, and the parts of you that are still protecting against threats that no longer exist. IFS and psychodynamic work allow resolution without retraumatization, because the system now has the capacity to integrate.

04

Identity & Integration

Recovery from trauma is not returning to who you were before. It's developing an internal authority that is no longer organized around threat. This phase builds an identity rooted in presence and choice, not hypervigilance, avoidance, or survival. The trauma response is no longer needed because a new system exists.

The Ecosystem

Not a Program. A Clinical Ecosystem.

Trauma touches every system: nervous, relational, cognitive, biological. Treating it through a single modality or a single provider misses the complexity. We operate as one coordinated team across every dimension.

Coordinated Clinical Team

Psychotherapist, somatic practitioner, nutritionist, and breathwork specialist, all working under a shared clinical map. Your trauma is treated as one interconnected system, not parceled out to disconnected providers.

Somatic-First Approach

Somatic Experiencing, therapeutic breathwork, and movement-based integration address trauma where it lives: in the body. We complete the survival responses your nervous system never finished, restoring regulation from the ground up.

Biological Precision

Nutrigenomics testing reveals how your unique biology metabolizes stress, neurotransmitters, and nutrients. GI mapping addresses gut-brain axis contributors to anxiety and dysregulation. We treat the biology driving trauma responses, not just the psychology.

Family-Intelligent, Not Family-Dependent

We map family system dynamics, including enmeshment, loyalty binds, and control patterns, and help you metabolize their influence internally. Profound relational shifts without requiring confrontation, reunion, or anyone else's participation.

This Is For You If

  • You've been through therapy, maybe years of it, and you understand your trauma intellectually but your system hasn't changed
  • Talk therapy leaves you more activated, not less. Processing destabilizes rather than resolves
  • You've tried EMDR, CBT, or CPT and it either didn't hold or made things worse
  • You're high-functioning on the outside but running on hypervigilance, dissociation, or chronic shutdown underneath
  • You want a team that treats the whole system, not one therapist working in isolation with one modality
